Hey, I'm John Gray!

I've been making music for over 15 years--in a variety of groups, in different roles, with different sounds. No matter the project, though, I've learned that intention, preparation, and collaboration make the best records.

My philosophy as a producer is to provide more than just technical assistance. While I do have formal training in production and songwriting from Berklee, I find that I draw even more from my experience as bandmate and creative collaborator. I'm happy to help engineer your recording, but I'm really here to help you find the best version of each album, song, or chorus--to figure out with you what influences and guides your work, then shape the project to best reflect those intentions.

Beyond working with artists, I also provide bespoke audio editing and composing. In the past, this has been as wide ranging as short film background music to dressage freestyle editing!
